Ninjaflex

Post by DylanM » Tue Feb 23, 2016 8:59 pm

Hi I was wondering if anyone prints ninjaflex because I would like to make a timing belt for an electric skateboard and Id like to try 3d printing it. I have seen other people 3d print ninjaflex pulleys and the like so it should be possible.
I know everything about nothing.

Would actually be cheaper to purchase the proper timing belt from AliExpress.com.

ninja flex can be difficult to print and doesn't have the resolution/finish of other filaments, for a timing belt you would need fairly accurrate tooth profile . If you have an STL I can take a look

Yes, and timing belts usually have a mesh embedded inside the rubber to give it strength.

yes good point and to stop them from stretching, because then the timing will be out
