Had our 8 yo Granddaughter visit during the school holidays. She has been teaching me the newly released Scratch 3 when Google's Paper Signals popped up onto on of my RSS feeds: https://papersignals.withgoogle.com/getstarted
The video looked kind of cool, so we gave it a go. I didn't have the recommended Adafruit Feather HUZZAH ESP8266 WiFi module, but I did have a NeodeMCU and a few Chinese WeMOS knock-off boards. Just had to enter in the wifi details and the three word Google project code. The code worked on both of them. It was fun to watch the servo motor move after one of us gave a verbal command via the phone app.
Next up we printed out a few of the paper templates and cut them out. Thats as far as we have got so far.
