This DC-DC Buck converter has an input voltage range between 5.5V to 36V and can output up to 5A. The project this was going into changed direction a bit so we upgraded to the more powerful XR76208-DC-DC converter. Due to the SOP form factor, It easy to solder and replace, but it is a bit old school these days as it requires a hefty diode and the diode gets very hot when outputting high currents.
Designing up a quick breakout board is so handy. In Shenzhen, two sided PCB's are usually back in the lab within three days, or sooner if your desperate and you pay a bit extra for it. If you order components from LCSC by 6pm, they are usually on my desk by 9am the next morning. How cool is that!
