I haven't upgraded for many years. Maybe when I did the 3.0 to 3.1 upgrade?

So I haven't updated the firmware as yet. I've got a couple of prints to go before I can risk putting it out of action.

But tonight I learnt something.

I have forever had problems with my printer "clicking" while printer and I thought I'd make an adjustment to the extruder feed gear and use a different part of the roller. This required I removed the filament and adjust the gear. While doing this I looked at the filament what was removed from the hotend and noticed that it appeared to be deformed. ie. The roller holding it to the gear may be too close. snd msybe it was having trouble transiting the hot end

I backed off the adjustment screw and restarted the print.

Touchwood. No clicking on this print.

Just goes to show that tough and tight may not always be the answer. Its all about the "feels" :) :)

Yes its not that hard, here is my repo of repieter code with my changes, although I haven't updated for quite a while and will be one of the first jobs when I get into my man cave
