Raspberry Uptime

Post by BeJay » Sun Aug 17, 2014 5:42 pm

Hi Guys,

I was curious about the longest uptime on a pi.

I have one running my "Backyard Radio" home media server and it's been up for:

Can you beat that?

The original project is here

Nope, not even close. I must have had a power failure long enough to take out the UPS (runs a few other things too):

~$ uptime
20:47:08 up 168 days, 32 min

Maybe I need a dedicated UPS for my RPi based home weather station :D

Still that is not bad !

Mine runs off my 12V network, which in theory shouldn't loose power until the battery bank or the sun dies... Batteries are second hand, dated 2003 and 11 years later it's still pretty good. If only I had a pi back then ;)

What are you using for your weather station? I'm using pywws for my chineese knock off (of a lacrose) + the picaxe data logger I made that does temp and power.

Keep up the good work

I only record five temperatures and air pressure. I don't think I have blogged the air pressure bit, but you can see the house temps here: http://www.bdug.org.au/projects/raspber ... nditioning and GnuPlot here: http://www.bdug.org.au/project/raspberr ... mperatures I also upload the outside temperature to xively (was cosm): http://www.bdug.org.au/project/raspberr ... ng-to-cosm

Nope nothing like the uptime of yours or the backup of yours :D however mine is newly on a UPS of Sorts as I'm using it for wireless Sensor data logging.

Wall socket -> 650VA UPS (as using this for a small server and DSL Modem as well) -> USB charger -> 11000MaH battery pack for iPhone -> Rpi

I should get at least 12 hour out of it
