Robotics Comp

Post by Jubbp » Fri May 15, 2015 8:40 am

Hi All,

Following on from some informal conversations at previous meetings, I thought it might be a good idea to start a discussion here about a future competition.

There are many different options but with our limited number maybe we could select maybe a couple for this years comp.

As most of have never built a bot before, I was thinking the comp would be at our October or November comp.

We would have to establish some rules to make sure it doesn't get too out of hand.

LEt have some discussion and see where we get to.

I have set up a document in our shared google drive to record the details

If you have trouble access it, please leave a comment here with your gmail account and I'll add you to the sharing list. Or email me phillip@jubb.info

Just added a few ideas to the document.

My thoughts are Keep it simple to start with. something like the line following or tabletop comp, then expand out to summo/maze/firefighting/magellan as we all get some experience in building and programming.
