At the last meeting a couple of you asked for the links of the handouts from the first session.

Here they are:
(Feel free to add your own in reply)

http://irtfweb.ifa.hawaii.edu/%7Eao/Ele ... elines.pdf
http://server.ibfriedrich.com/wiki/ibfw ... rial_e.pdf

Heres some other resources that I have:

https://www.ecad.io (allows to easily create 3D model of your PCB and export to CAD easy)

https://circuithub.com (for component footprints/Libraries)

This is what Ive started using for my Kicad libraries

another resource really great blog for PCB design and layout, has lots of tips. Main software they use is Altium, but a lot can be carried across to other EDA

Ah, a most opportune post there Stephen. I just figured out how to specify different KiCAD track widths, via the PCBNew | Design Rules | Design Rules form.

Then read up on PCB Design Tutorial and from your link above, I found this: http://www.fedevel.com/welldoneblog/2016/07/pcb-layout-typical-track-via-geometry/
