Prototype Boards

Post by parkview » Tue Jul 12, 2016 8:27 pm

After breadboarding and testing a circuit, I usually the transfer everything onto Vero prototype board. These have strips of copper running end to end. With careful component placement, it can save on hand wiring.

I currently am using these: http://futurlec.com/Protoboards.shtml Part Code: STPBRD2 An old 26 pin RPi socket handily fits at one end.

While not Vero board, I have used the DX part: http://www.dx.com/s/132929 as it will hold the larger 40pin RPi socket.

These are all handy for single use boards, of course, one could step up form here and make your own PCB boards: http://www.bdug.org.au/node/97 (ah, the things we had to do before Adafruit and the Chinese came onto the market! ), or contract them out to be made:
