Re: My Z80 Computer build

Nice project work there Shane. Let me know if you need any TTL LS chips. I have 3000+ of them that I picked up from Silicon Valley back in the early '90s. I even indexed them all via my Z80 based Epson QX-10 PC. I think I still have the print out somewhere Looking fwd to seeing it at a meeting one d...

Re: Raspi TFT

Hi Dylan,

so how far through the setup guide did you get: http://www.dfrobot.com/image/data/DFR02 ... US.1.0.pdf What errors do you have?

I see the tutorial link isn't working at the moment. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Re: Screwing 3D printed parts together

By the way, don't bother trying to purchase the above mentioned parts from McMaster-Carr. I received this nice little blurb from them: "Due to the complexity of US export regulations, McMaster-Carr only accepts international purchases from our established international customers" To which ...

Re: Perth Curtin Robofair - 2014

Just an update on the Robofair. Today I finally had a reply from the organiser. Yes, our application has been accepted and she confirmed the location (same as last year). We will have four tables and four pin-up boards: IMG_6164_sml.jpg I believe we have four attendees? If so then by my maths, that ...

Hi Dylan,

We need some more info on what you have. Do you have a link to where you bought it from or what it is? Do you know if other people have successfully added it onto a RPi?

Re: Raspi TFT

Hi Dylan,

which screen did you end up getting? If it's an Adafruit one, there is a tutorial here for it:

https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-pit ... spberry-pi
or
https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-2-8 ... tive-touch

otherwise we can chat about it on Sat. if your coming along. See the next email regarding the venue change.

For what product or supplier? I use the cheapest shipping I can get. dx.com is free, but takes up to 6 weeks to arrive! Adafruit will take 2-3 weeks. The AU one might take a week or two?

Hi Dylan, I purchased mine directly from Adafruit. Since then they have released 2.8" capacitance versions and a range of 3.5" screens at a higher price. You can now buy them from this Australian site: m Depending on what you want to display, a cheaper option might be one of these: m ; Whi...

Re: Z80 Computer on Altera Cyclone III FPGA 3C10 & 3C16

Hi Shane,

back in the day, I wondered about the Z80 data pins and why they couldn't be presented in a nice sequence like the address pins. I read this interesting post this morning: http://www.righto.com/2014/09/why-z-80s ... mbled.html
