Re: Project "Get my printer printing reliably"

Of course, there is more to the story. When I returned home with the printer, I still had a few issues. Immediately, I had issues with serious under extrusion. I had to revisit my slicer settings in Simplify3D. During my troubleshooting I had made changes which had to be reconfigured. As it was unde...

Re: Project "Get my printer printing reliably"

So I took my Felix 3D Printer along to the February South West Makers meeting st the Eaton Library. I had been speaking with Stephen about it at the December meeting. A couple of quick test prints and Stephen, Paul and Rob were onto the problem quickly. The problem was under extrusion and while prin...

Why Dardanup?
I did mean the Shire of Dardanup, it will probably be in Eaton. :)

The Shire of Dardanup is the most forward looking and willing to help of all the local shires.

Ignore the roughness at the bottom, thats where I removed some supports. The main issue is the patchy printing thoughout the print.

Project "Get my printer printing reliably"

I've been frustrated by my Felix 3 Printer for several years. It appears it requires a baby sitter to print reliably.

I would like my printer to print reliably and consistently without constant attention

I'll be updating this thread with my efforts.

Re: Felix Firmware upgrade

So I haven't updated the firmware as yet. I've got a couple of prints to go before I can risk putting it out of action. But tonight I learnt something. I have forever had problems with my printer "clicking" while printer and I thought I'd make an adjustment to the extruder feed gear and use a differ...

Thanks for the insight Paul,

So much potential for a makespace in Dardanup. Looks like a model we could be involved in

My Fav 3dPrinter Channel(at the moment :) )

Hi All, Just thought I'd drop a link to my favourite 3D Printing / Maker Channel (for now at least) Ivan Miranda is a European youtuber who specialises in making projects using this 3D printer. What I like about Ivan is his constant willingness to try almost anything. A lot of what he makes works bu...

Re: Planter Boxes

Thanks Paul. Yes I'm pretty proud of it. There was a little design flaw in that I didn't taking into account the swing of the casters. I had to improvise the cut outs at the bottom. I thought about moving them in further but that would have made locking the castors impractical. We could RC it or bet...

Re: Planter Boxes

So the plans changes slightly when I came across some big bearing boxes at work. I decided to use the box as the top planter section and save myself from having to build the entire design. The pic below shows the bearing box at the top and the frame I joined underneath it. Wheels for manoeuvrability...

The Current theme is the default. I did have a different theme up until a couple of weeks ago. It will be back once I sort out the 500 Error problems.
