Re: E-Ink Data Display
A nice write up and and pretty cool solution.
Having to load a webpage to view the temperature data is pretty painful.
This makes it available at glance without running a full machine to display it.

Re: Project "Get my printer printing reliably"
Things I learnt today.
I was trying improve my top layers. I have always been a bit stingie on the infill and normally print at about 20% infill.
Today I tried 30% and found a great improvement.

That looks like a filter on your schools network.
They are not aware(haven't indexed) our site so they block it to be safe.
Try forcing it to https:// and see if that makes a difference.

Re: Planter Boxes
they turned out extremely well! Well done Phil! I might have to do something like that myself. What do you do for drainage? Ummm. I had plans for drainage but didn’t put it in at the time. I can retro fit it now but the bed dries out quite quickly in summer. May be different when we get more rain

Re: SWMakers Website Queries
f course, one should NEVER use the same username and password combo for other sites. So in preparation for Paul's upcoming international excursions, I thought it was worth the effort to get the forum encrypted so he can have some piece of mind when logging in. I have now added a free lets encrypt S...

Re: Project "Get my printer printing reliably"
Has anyone had any experience using CURA with their 3d printer? I haven't had any experience with it but I will soon be looking into it as it's the inbuilt slicer in the OctoPrint. Which, by the way, is the reason I need my printer printing reliably, I want to be able to set it and forget it during...
