JPG Image Analysis

I saw image analysis software: https://www.bitpi.co/2015/03/31/basic-d ... pberry-pi/ this on a RPi Forum last week and now that I have a RPi 2 installed for my GIS-Pi rig, I thought I would have a go at it.
The ~ 200MB software package took ages (an hour?) to download from the GIT repository. Building and installing was very quick, with many SSH connection running and a VNC session also running I ran the example software example on the lena.jpg, but it either locked up the RPi or took more than the 30minutes I waited before pulling the plug and restarting it. I haven't tried the optimisation thats listed in the first link below.
http://petewarden.com/2014/08/07/how-to ... ment-74626 It should be able to process an image in 3.3seconds.
https://developer.nvidia.com/jetson-tk1 ; 34mSec to analyse a photo, only costs US$192!

Hmm, enough procrastination, back to work on the GIS-Pi software.
