Switched PSU

Post by parkview » Fri Aug 01, 2014 11:02 pm

Hi Stephen,

you mentioned off-line the other day about a simple switched mode PSU. Can you link in the chip and circuit diagram that your using?

Thanks.

Its a dual voltage Lipo BuckBoost DCDC regulator with charger and battery management for a retrofit to the Rallylog I did a couple if years back for the bike club as the 9v battery and LDO regulators doesn't really cut the mustard over a two day event.

3.3v is LTC3531 buckboost regulator
5V is MCP1640 boost regulator

circuit attached, still doing the PCB side of things.

What are you using for drawing your schematic? Looks almost KiCAD, but cant really tell it from Eagle?

Cheers
