Re: 32650 Li-ion battery holder

Nice work Paul!

PLA? I'd need that 2" thick to pull 2C I'd reckon ;) Great tweak though! What are you going to use these cells for?

Keep up the good work.

Re: Cargo Smaller

Well I had my blog hacked again.. so I'm trying to recover from that now... but yes I have noticed a significant difference in EMI from the A/B to the B+ with the supplied 150mm cable that comes with the camera. Indeed I have a wide range SA (Spectrum Analyser) that if I could get time to use it aga...

Cargo Smaller

I got a new work car this month, and sort to fit a pi powered cam to it. Something I noticed was the new B+ series Pi's don't emit as much EMI as the older Pis. http://bjshed.better-than.tv/projects/cargo/large_slides/IMG_9954.JPG http://bjshed.better-than.tv/projects/cargo/large_slides/IMG_9952.JPG...

I used the bolt in the nut trick (M5), and my Hakko 926. Worked a treat at 450oC

Re: Testing Brass Heat Insert

Good research Paul, I just hit the iron on a M4 nut and sink it into position. Works well on PLA, but ABS can get a bit tricky.. My latest creation that needed this was our soap holders.. http://bjshed.better-than.tv/projects/misc/soap_holders/large_slides/IMG_9689.JPG http://bjshed.better-than.tv/p...

Re: Remote Weather Station

The second link is a little like the one I made, used an AM radio IC MK484 and a tuned i/p coil as a trigger for my pi. It records 1 minute videos and discards them if lighting hasn't been detected I posted it on facebook a while ago, but never got around to blogging it after my Hackaday of death se...

Yep, I used ali tape from ebay. Works a treat. GPSs are so touchy to EMI Stray RF.

Re: Raspberry Pi GIS Tablet: GIS-Pi

The graph is already made using gnuplot on my logger machine (soon to be a pi), so all this needs to do is load into pygame as a png on the splashback. I like how easy it is no make transparent backgrounds just by using a 70% png and layering the other stuff on top. Here is a snip using urllib to lo...

Re: Raspberry Pi GIS Tablet: GIS-Pi

Looks like it's coming along nicely Paul I missed your post about what I was doing with PyGame.... Well It's a 40" LCD as a "splashback" behind 8mm glass. I'm going to use in our kitchen renos to replace all of the other things I've bolted to the walls in the past. I'm using Pygame na...
